Map

In Subway Builder, the San Francisco map incorporates the entirety of the Bay Area in its buildable area. San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda and Contra Costa counties are fully included, as well as a large portion of Santa Clara county (incorporating all of the city of San Jose) and smaller portions of Marin (as far north as St Vincent) and Napa/Solano counties (communities of Vallejo, American Canyon and Benicia). The map represents the entire Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and Caltrain service areas and beyond, and the Bay Area's three major cities (San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose) are fully represented.

The majority of jobs are concentrated in San Francisco's Financial District, with other dense clusters in downtown Oakland, downtown San Jose, and the Silicon Valley (including large nodes at Apple Park in Cupertino and Tesla in Fremont). The region also boasts three major airports with passenger service (SFO, OAK, SJC) and several large college and university campuses including UC Berkeley, SFSU, UCSF, SJSU, and Stanford University.

Points of Interest (future research)

Major sporting venues in the Bay Area include the Oracle Park baseball stadium and Chase Center multi-use arena in San Francisco, the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum baseball stadium and Oakland Coliseum multi-use arena in Oakland, the Levi's Stadium football stadium and SAP center hockey arena in San Jose as well as the PayPal Park soccer stadium, and Stanford University's Stanford Stadium. Major convention/expo centres in the Bay Area include the Moscone Center in San Francisco and the San Jose McEnery Convention Centre.

As a tourism hotspot, San Francisco boasts many well-visited attractions for the potential future addition of tourist traffic. These include Alcatraz, the Golden Gate/Presidio National Parks (including the bridge, Fort Point and the Palace of Fine Arts), Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Alamo Square, the Ferry Building/Embarcadero, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, SF City Hall/Civic Center and Haight-Ashbury.
