Chicago is a major city in the American Midwest. As the third largest city in the United States and the largest not on a coast, the city of Chicago has always benefitted from being a major hub for rail and air transport, finance, and the arts.

Stats[edit]

Population: 9.4m

Map[edit]

The Chicago map includes the city of Chicago and some of the surrounding suburbs, incorporating the entirety of Cook and DuPage counties, and some of Will County to the southwest. This includes the Lake Michigan shoreline from Glencoe to East Chicago, and as far inland as the DuPage Airport.

The main employment area is the Chicago Loop, with various other nodes spread out throughout the map. Residents increase in density as they move closer to the Loop, with a notable strip of density following the Lake Michigan shoreline on the North Side. The region boasts two major airports (ORD and MDW) and several college and university campuses including UIC and the University of Chicago.
